When the customer is software.

AI agents are starting to pay for things themselves: data, API calls, services, each worth a fraction of a cent, settled machine-to-machine with no card form and no subscription. This page shows what one of those payments actually looks like on the XRP Ledger, what is genuinely measured so far, and what is projection. The difference between those last two is the whole point.

Watch one agentic payment happen.

A ninety-second animated short, narrated. Every beat in it is what actually happens on the wire; nothing is dramatized except the lighting.

1 / 6

Narrated with sound; captions always on. This site runs the same flow for real: our agent API sells Canadian custody data over x402 today.

The honest scale, measured.

Two real numbers, drawn to true area scale. This is the part most coverage gets wrong.

agentic transactions EVER indexed on XRPL
(cumulative since June 2026 · t54 Labs, vendor-reported · as of Jul 23, 2026)

The entire agentic era on the XRP Ledger so far adds up to roughly one ordinary day of network traffic. That is not a knock; it is what early looks like, measured instead of narrated. No percentage is shown here because the two counts come from different windows and different counters; a pie chart would be a lie.

What the ledger actually does, every day.

Live from XRPScan's public metrics: daily transactions for the last 120 days, with the XRP burned as fees each day underneath. This is the baseline any agentic future gets measured against.

Projection · not a measurement

RippleX's head of engineering has said agentic volume could reach 10 to 100 million transactions "within the next couple of years" (July 2026); the fan above draws that stated range, nothing more. Market researchers put global agentic commerce anywhere from US$1 trillion to $1.5 trillion by 2030, and other estimates run an order of magnitude in both directions, which tells you how young this is. Forecasts are quoted so you can weigh who said them; they are not this site's predictions, and none of them is investment guidance.

Sources and method

Measured, live: daily transaction counts and daily fee burn are fetched in your browser from the XRPScan public metrics API (api.xrpscan.com/api/v1/metrics/metric), which publishes daily figures back to 2013. The latest complete day is used; today's partial row is skipped.

Measured, vendor-reported: the cumulative agentic counter is published by t54 Labs' XRPL AI Hub (1,475,578 as of July 23, 2026; it climbs at the source). t54 operates x402 payment infrastructure and counts transactions through its own rails, so treat it as a floor from one vendor's window, not a network total. There is no neutral measurement of an "agentic share" of XRPL: attribution on-ledger is an opt-in convention (xrpl.org on agentic transactions), which is exactly why this page never shows a percentage.

The flow: the four steps are the x402 protocol as implemented on XRPL (Ripple's XRPL AI starter kit, June 2026); the fee figure is the ledger's documented transaction cost. The broadest neutral study of x402 adoption to date is Chainalysis (June 2026), covering 100M+ x402 payments on Base, with the honest caveat that early volume included stress-testing, not only genuine agent commerce.

Projections: RippleX range via Finbold (July 22, 2026); 2030 commerce forecasts from McKinsey/ICSC via Payments Dive and Juniper Research.
